The perception people have of you is subjective.
People are always changing too. So, really their perception is influenced by how they feel that day… or that hour… or that moment.
Lately, I just really wonder what it means to be authentic. Is it to be alone essentially? Because when you’re around really anybody, you are catering to and reacting to another person or many people. I guess I can believe that to be truth.
I find the most joy when singing in a choral setting or conducting a choir.
Well that involves many people.
I can’t achieve my goal without instilling trust in others and creating the right environment for optimal musical experiences. Which means that I’m worrying more so about a group than myself. The outcome is authentic, but maybe the process isn’t?
I guess in general people can think what they want of you and what your intentions are. No one will ever really know you.
